The King's Speech (2011)

This year during the spring holiday I have not gone outside for a while because of the virus. I think that we should stay home and should wash your hands and gargle. Therefore I usually surf Netflix and Amazon Prime and YouTube because I have so much time. Then I found some good movies so I want to introduce my favorite and recommended movies again in this year.

Recently, I watched the movie The King’s Speech on Netflix. I found this movie by chance but I felt that I would like it before watching this movie and when I finished watching it I exactly felt the same way.  Anyway the movie is set in England, and the title is The King’s Speech.

The story is about George VI, King of England. He has a stuttering (problem きつ音症 cannot talk smoothly ) so he doesn’t want to speak and dose not talk well in front of an audience. His wife Elizabeth visited the speech therapist Lionel. George Vl start to treat his cure stuttering and practice to give a good speech little by little with the help of Lionel.

The movie is genre is human drama its fiction based on a true story, and a bromance. I found the interesting word “bromance” on another movie review. Bromance is a combination of brother and romance and it means  men's good friendship. (not boys love) I really like this word "bromance."

Next I want to tell you about 3 good points and my favorite scene.

The first good point is the main character George Vl, played by Colin Firth his performauce is amazing and touching because Colin Firth really looks like he's stuttering.

The second good point is that this movie has some comical scenes that make you chuckle.

The third good point is when George VI reveals why he started stuttering. This scene wasn’t a flashback scene, but if was only George Vl talking to Lionael. Therefore I got that his sad past felt very real.

My favorite scene is the last scene that when George Vl spoke to for all the English people. This scene was very tension and Colin Firth performauce made me nervous too. Finally, I want to tell you one thing. We can get over any hardship, so this movie The King’s Speech thaught me that important thing. This movie is a very positive story and you can easily watch it because it's a simple story. And please make sure you watch with Japanese subtitles. (not Japanese voice), I recommend the original, because Colin Firth is very good! By the way George Vl is daughter is Elizabeth ll . She is 94 years old now. I was surprised to learn that.
